Motorola Moto 360 to feature sapphire glass and wireless charging

01:28 By

The Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch will come with a sapphire glass screen and feature wireless charging. That is according to a report by G for Games.
Motorola had hinted that it had left some details up its sleeve following the announcement on last week.
The company has said that it will be using premium materials for its upcoming smartwatch. From what we’ve seen of the Moto 360 so far, it’s by far the most attractive looking smartwatch so far.
In addition to claiming that the display will be covered by sapphire glass and that the watch itself featuring wireless charging, the report said the watch will come with an OLED display.
Motorola has so far declined to comment on the rumours, saying more details will be announced soon.

Hints, hints and more hints

Wireless charging isn’t all that surprising. Motorola had previously hinted that it would use a different form of charging to cables. Jim Wicks, the Motorola executive in charge of the Moto 360, had previously said that watch wouldn’t feature a USB port.
He also said that power management was important for the company. As such, the use of a OLED screen wouldn’t be that big a stretch of the imagination – especially in what is likely to be a high-end device.
